Ayurveda teaches us that the way to stay balanced and in good health is to align our rhythms with the rhythms of Nature.
Hair care is an important component in your daily routine. Here are some practical tips for beautiful and healthy hair:
Wash your hair less. We all have different degrees of hair, normal, oily or dry and you may not have to wash your hair as often as you think. The more frequently you wash your hair, the more oil is produced, requiring you to wash it more often. It’s a cycle! For many people, washing the hair twice a week is enough.
Massage your scalp. While you wash your hair, massage the scalp in a reinvigorate way. This can stimulate circulation to the hair follicles and stimulate hair growth. You can use the tips of your fingers or a simulator for the scalp.
Avoid all chemicals in your hair products. Like anything we apply to our skin, these chemicals are absorbed directly through the scalp and enter the bloodstream. Choose natural products or make your own! Dust Shikakai s and has been used in India for centuries as shampoo and hair conditioner . If you are one of those who likes liquid texture, I recommend any of the Ayurvedic shampoos you have for all types of hair and in a few washes you will notice all your results.
Apply oil to the hair and scalp at least once a week. Massaging hair and scalp with herbal oils is an Ayurvedic practice that has been used for centuries to keep hair thick and healthy. This practice provides deep conditioning and nourishment to the hair. It also calms the mind and stimulates sleep. You can leave the oil in your hair at night, placing a towel on your pillow to protect the sheets.
Amla Bio Oil is a wonderful blend to nourish and rejuvenate hair. It Contains amalaki, brahmi and bhringaraj, among many other wonderful and powerful herbs to maintain healthy hair. You can also use unique oils such as coconut, sesame, amla, brahmi … all of them will have a wonderful effect on your scalp and hair.
Oil hair before entering chlorinated pools or salty sea. Applying a moderate amount of oil to your hair helps protect it from being damaged by chlorine or salt water.
Braid long hair before going to bed. If you have long hair, braid it in a loose braid at night will prevent it from becoming tangled or damaged while you sleep.
Strengthen your bones According to Ayurveda, hair is a product of bone tissue. When we nourish the bone tissue, the hair is also nourished. Some foods to nourish bones and hair are sesame seeds, almonds, green leaves, broccoli, lentils, seaweed, whole grains, organic dairy and pineapple.
Take herbs that support hair health. The Bhringaraj infusions support the robust growth of the hair, prevent the appearance of premature graying and hair fall, provides nutrition to the roots of the hair and the skin of the head, has positive effects on the appearance and strength of the hair, acts against dry skin and the formation of dandruff. Triphala is a blend of three fruits that promotes the subtle elimination of natural toxins from the gastrointestinal tract and helps to tone and nourish all body tissues. Triphala can be taken in capsules , infusions or powder (churna)
