Description
Sida cordifolia is known as Bala in Ayurveda as it is Balya and gives Bal or Strength. The Bala ayurvedic herb has been used for beautifying purposes since ancient times. In Ayurveda, Bala is one of the important herbs, which is used for various purposes like weight loss, skin glowing, boosting physical stamina, bodybuilding, aphrodisiac, etc. The herb enhances the beauty along with Ashoka and Shatavari. The plant originated in India and Sri Lanka. Stem and roots are the part of the plant which is used as medicine.
The root of the herb is known as a good tonic and immune modulator, mainly using for vãta rogas and also useful in Vata disorders like paralysis, facial palsy, etc.
The plant has analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties. It works on the central nervous system and provides relief from anxiety. It is useful in rheumatism, nervous disorders, and general debility.
