LESSER GALANGAL (ALPINIA GALANGA)
Galangal leaves are best suited for cooked applications such as boiling, sautéing, and steaming. They are mainly used to impart flavor to soups, stews, curries, and chutneys. The flavors of the Galangal leaf compliment meats, fish, and shellfish, and pairs well with citrus, garlic, and tamarind.
Galangal root has been employed in traditional medicine as a remedy for various ailments, and an increasing number of scientific studies support these uses.

USES
- Bledding. Early research suggests that applying 4 mL of a specific product containing alpinia, licorice, thyme, stinging nettle, and common grape vine (Ankafer blood stopper) to the skin reduces bleeding during surgery but does not reduce time in surgery. Other early research suggests that applying the same product reduces bleeding after dental surgery.
