MADDER ROOT (RUBIA CORDIFOLIA)
Rubia cordifolia also known as Indian madder (Manjistha) is a climbing vine with reddish roots, found in the Himalayas and in hill stations across India. In Ayurveda, it is described as a detoxifying herb that purifies blood by removing toxins from the blood.
Rubia cordifolia role in supporting heart health is evidenced by traditional and reported activities which show that it act as potent blood purifier, antioxidant, diuretic, calcium channel blocker, antiplatelet, antidiabetic, antiinflammatory, antistress, immunomodulator etc.
